What’s for Breakfast, Bali

Let’s face it, with the number of travelers and foreign dwellers living in Bali, a good breakfast places are abundant … and I try to try them as many as possible.

The post starts from the bottom, so the recent ones are at the top and the post is more of safe-keep memory for me. Let’s begin!

Copenhagen

Wowww! This tiny place at Canggu blew my mind! Of you’re looking for a different western breakfast than your regular mash avo sprinkled with quinoa and poached eggs, this is definitely your place!

It’s offering a Dannish bfast with tapas plating. Choose your items and the kitchen will prepare them for you. Please do me a favor and order the spunky watermelon with olive oil and cheese, or that dark and brooding Dannish bread, or the sweet combo of cheese and jam!

Serious coffee game here. Tasty.

Kim Soo

Been around for quite some time, offering black and white interior decor theme, its breakfast/brunch is always driving crowds to patron. My opinion? Decent coffee, the food was decent too… Had the salmon bagel with spicy baby potatoes – fried of course it’s the weekend.

Atman Cafe, Ubud

It was refreshing to find a different style of breakfast. It’s more of a home-made, the healthier version 😉

What must you try? The bulletproof coffee! Sublime! So smooth and silky.

Cartel Cafe, Canggu

All day brekkie at the Gu. Western breakfast, healthier options available. Pretty colors of the lattes.

Kafein, Balangan

An okay choice when you’re at Balangan and too lazy to head out to Uluwatu. Good coffee.

Suka Espresso, Uluwatu

Ahhhh, Suka, saya suka Suka! Our favorite spot in the Bukit area! Great coffees, casual-surfer vibe, excellent choices of healthy Western breakfast, the presentations, the unusual ingredients … hmmm. Always a treat. All day brekkie, they’re open for dinner too! Adore the tiny space they’ve got, it makes it more intimate, also the service feel so genuine.

Sisterfields, Seminyak

Heee… the hip and happening breakfast place at Seminyak. Typical Australian style brekkie, popular with the younger crowds, be it Indonesians and foreigners.

Soul in A Bowl, Sanur

A healthy choice at Danau Tamblingan, Sanur. Awesome healthy choices, cozy ambiance, liking the presentations. Tasty coffees. Would love to be back!

Bukit Cafe, Uluwatu

A good option to Suka, Bukit Cafe offers many-many items on its menu. Healthier stuff to your usual hearty meals. Opens from breakfast to dinner, brekkie all day long. Popular with surfers around. They’ve got bulletproof as well, yum!!!

Living Well, Uluwatu

The healthy dine and shop joint. Serving breakfast to dinner, Asian and Western meals. Good coffee too. They also sell organic items, teas. Located just next to Pepito near GWK, make sure you stop by for a quick bite 😉 I love their Salmon fried rice, with PLENTY of chilies please.

Corner House, Seminyak

It took a while until we got to Corner House, heee …. It’s at the … corner! Decent place for a breakfast, gorgeous coffee, sunny small garden at the back. A bit industrial deco inside.

Outside Corner Organic Cafe, Uluwatu

In case you’re looking for an alternative brekkie place at the Bulit, here’s Outside Corner. Good coffee, fresh juices, a good menu for breakfast and lunch, … and dinner hehehhe. I tried the grilled squid (no breakfast this time for me), it was good. They also have a pool table, a ping-pong table and a small skate bowl at the back. So bring your squad for a good time!

Drifter, Uluwatu

Loving this surf shop/cafe at Uluwatu! Yes, Drifter has a good selection of healthy breakfast too! Opens for breakfast and lunch, this joint has a charming garden at the back for you and your friends to hang. Every corner is a lovely sight, decorated with Indonesian antiquities, this cafe becomes one of my fave place.

El Merkat, Uluwatu

Yes, by now you’ve realized I cover a lot of breakfast places at the Bukit 😉 hehehe, but there’s not much of choice actually if you compare it to Canggu or Seminyak. El Merkat was a nice discovery, it’s a hybrid of Spanish and Australian flair. Coffee was awesome too! They also have a small imported grocery section where Illy beans, cheeses, cold cuts are available.
